Description:
Moor Floor Finishes ACRYSEAL floor seal / varnish is a multi-purpose self cross linking Acrylic / Polyurethane floor seal for interior use only. It provides a durable finish with good resistance to accidental spillage of common chemicals, water, oil and food stuffs.
Preparation/Application:
Concrete:
The flooring must be sufficiently porous to allow the seal to bond to the surface. A smooth concrete should be etched to provide a key. The concrete should be at least 4 weeks old before sealing and be free from grease, oil and loose friable material. If there is a previous coating test a small area for adhesion before proceeding. Apply first coat using an 12″ Applicator or 20″ Applicator, roller, soft brush or spray , take care not to leave pools, runs or drip marks, which will detract from the overall appearance of the floor and allow to dry (1 –2 hours depending on temperature etc.). Further coats of ACRYSEAL floor seal / varnish maybe applied to achieve the desired finish. After 24 hours the floor will accept light foot traffic but allow at least 48 hours to cure and harden before heavy trafficking.
For best results on concrete, Terrazzo and bitumen apply two coats of ACRYSEAL floor seal / varnish allowing 1 hour between coats.
Wood:
The surface to be coated should be thoroughly cleaned and abraded to remove all traces of previous dressings preferably by sanding. Ensure that the floor surface is free from oil, wax, grease, dirt and previous treatments. After sanding ensure all dust has been removed by vacuuming or tac ragging. Apply first coat using an 12″ Applicator or 20″ Applicator, roller, soft brush or spray , take care not to leave pools, runs or drip marks, which will detract from the overall appearance of the floor and allow to dry (1 –2 hours depending on temperature etc.).
