Osmo hardwax oils offer a top quality treatment for wooden flooring, other internal and external woodwork. These are natural wood finishes with all the goodness of nature, made from natural oils and waxes, canauba wax, sunflower oil, candilla wax, thistle oil and more.
Osmo hardwax oils provide natural character, durability and protection for all interior and exterior timber. Wooden floors are often exposed to great stresses and strains, therefore they require extra protection and Osmo hardwax oils offer a very durable finish. This protection should not disturb or change the natural appearance of the wood‘s surface.
The range of Osmo hardwax oils provide this protection from within the wood itself, bringing the natural grain and character of the wood to life whilst offering maximum protection and allowing it to “breathe”. This helps to maintain its elastic surface qualities and allows it to compliment its environment. With Osmo natural wood finishes the wood surface retains its natural character and charm but also becomes abrasion, water and dirt resistant – a long lasting surface protection against those small daily mishaps.
Product Description: Clear Glossy (3011), Clear Satin (3032) or Matt (3062) wood finish, which combines all the advantages of oils and waxes in one unique product. Osmo Polyx-Oil is resistant to water and dirt, is very durable and smoothens wood surfaces. In comparison to conventional finishes, the natural vegetable oils and waxes allow for an even colouring and a harmonic, smooth surface result. Easy application – no need for a primer or sanding between coats – saves time and money. It meets the wood’s natural demands: It is microporous and does not crack, flake, peel or blister.

3032 satin-matt and 3062 matt clear interior wood finish
Preparation:
Wood surface must be clean and dry (moisture content max. 20%). Polyx-Oil is ready to use, please do no thin, stir well before use.
Clean or slightly sand old microporous finishes, remove old varnish (Osmo Paint Remover or by sanding). Small cracks, larger dents and small holes in the wood can be filled Osmo Woodfiller. Sand carefully before application starting with a coarse paper – final sanding for flooring P100-150, furniture P180-240. Remove dust etc. thoroughly from the surface before application (vacuum cleaner).
Application:
Apply thinly and evenly along the wood grain with either an Osmo Hand Brush, the Osmo 220mm or 400mm Floor brush or the Osmo Microfibre Roller, and spread well. Allow for good ventilation whilst drying. Apply a second coat as before. For the renovation of oiled/waxed surfaces, generally only 1 coat is required. This should be applied to a clean and dry surface.
The final surface quality is dependent on the wood’s surface structure, we therefore always recommend to test the product on a small sample area before complete application.
Cleaning of Tools: Clean working utensils with Osmo Brush Cleaner (benzene-free).
Drying Time: approx. 8-10 hours (normal climatic conditions, 23°C/50%, rel. humidity). Lower temperatures and/or high humidity can increase the drying time.
